A railing usually earns its place on a building for a compliance reason first, a stair someone has to get down safely, a drop someone has to be kept back from, an entrance that needs a hand hold. But once it is installed, it is also something people see and touch every time they use that stair or that ramp. We build to the practical requirement and to the way the piece will actually look, because those two things do not have to be traded off against each other.
What we build

Every piece is custom made in our own shop rather than assembled from stock brackets, and because we forge our own scrollwork in house, a compliance railing can carry real detail instead of a plain pipe rail.

For business owners and property managers, an ADA compliant railing is usually not optional, it is part of keeping a stair, a ramp or a walkway safe and usable for everyone who has to move through it. We take that seriously and build railing systems to help you stay compliant, alongside fall protection railings for edges and drops that need a physical barrier. We do not guess at the details, we ask what the space needs and design the railing to fit it.
We fabricate in the same shop that hand forges our ornamental gates, so a compliance railing does not have to read as an afterthought bolted on at the last minute. Scrollwork, custom brackets and a finish that matches the rest of a building's ironwork are all things a shop that forges its own steel can offer that a bracket-and-pipe supplier cannot.
