Fusion welding and a finish built for weather
We're a preferred Ameristar contractor, which means we install their fence as often as we build custom ironwork, and we're honest with customers about which one actually fits their job. Ameristar's Montage line uses a process they call ProFusion, which combines fusion and laser technology to weld strong, virtually invisible structural connections without the fasteners that give a cheaper fence away up close. The finish is built to match. Ameristar's AmeriCoat process takes the galvanized steel framework through a multistage pretreatment wash with zinc phosphate, then a duplex cathodic electrocoat system with an epoxy primer, before a final acrylic topcoat meant to stand up to adverse weather. Ameristar backs that coating with a 20-year warranty, which is their claim about the finish, not ours about the installation.

ProFusion welding
Fusion and laser technology combine to weld the frame's structural connections. No fasteners holding the panel together, so there's nothing to work loose and nothing unsightly to see up close.
AmeriCoat finish
The galvanized steel goes through a multistage pretreatment wash with zinc phosphate, then a duplex cathodic electrocoat system with an epoxy primer, then an acrylic topcoat. Ameristar's own claim is that this significantly increases corrosion protection, and they warranty the coating for 20 years.
The honest version
When Ameristar is the right call, and when it isn't.
Ameristar's Montage line is the right answer more often than a lot of fence companies will admit. If your property line is a standard run, the budget matters, and a clean manufactured look does what you need it to do, a fusion-welded panel with a warrantied finish is hard to argue with. That covers most residential and commercial perimeter jobs we quote.
Where it stops being the right answer is anywhere the opening isn't standard, the property calls for something that matches ironwork already on site, or the design itself is the point: scrollwork, a monogram, a gate that has to read as one piece rather than a manufactured panel.
